The wine shop Il Canto di Baccio is located in Barberino Val d'Elsa, a small town in Florentine Chianti situated in the hills between Val di Pesa and Val d'Elsa, an obligatory stop on the ancient road that connected Florence to Rome.

The small historic center is the perfect place for those in search of a corner of Chianti that is evocative but defiladed from the best known and most frequented tourist routes.

Our vineyards are cultivated according to organic regulations and the mechanization of work is kept to a minimum. In fact, we believe that a good wine comes mainly from the vineyard and from a careful work of vine cultivation and grape selection.
Interventions in the winery are extremely limited and this is the reason why our wines have much lower percentages of sulfur dioxide than even what is prescribed by the organic specification.

Our way of farming aims to let our products express the characteristics of the soils and the peculiarities of the years of production. Our legumes and grains, and especially our wines, faithfully reflect the character of the land and the period in which they are born, grow and are harvested. The processing, carried out with prevalent use of human labor, respects traditional local practices, a direct legacy of ancient peasant Tuscany.
