In the middle of Chianti – in Barberino Tavarnelle – driving along a small country road through olive trees fields, vineyards and a small cypress grove, you can get to La Spinosa, a green paradise corner where, for over more than 40 years, we’ve pursued a project of organic farming which is witness of a real genuine love for nature and for all that is around.

NATURE FIRST AND FOREMOST

In our fields we cultivate grapes, olive trees and organic vegetables, and we make wine, olive oil and jar preserves.

Our history starts in 1982 by the idea of a group of friends in love with the Tuscan land, and from the very beginning we were focused on the organic cultivation techniques – although countertrend at the time – in order to achieve a stable balance with the environment and with the ecosystem.

A pretty painful choice – which tested our strenght more than once – but which that today pays us back with several quality satisfactions and international awards.

The respect for the natural life-cycle of all the species, the bioversities safeguard, the tradition protection and transmission, a strong eco-friendly awareness and the importance of the team work are just some of the key points to our company philosophy.

A NEW GOAL ACHIEVED

In 2018, after long years of planning, and thanks to the commitment and hard work of all our team, we achieved a new goal: a brand new green cellar, built 100% with eco-friendly materials.

This new building consists of an underground ageing cellar, a big kitchen where we can transform the vegetables, and a wide and bright tasting room where since then we started to welcome the first small groups of visitors.

A TRUE EXPERIENCE, IN AN AUTHENTIC PLACE

Simplicity is at home with us, and the four-legged friends finish the charming frame!

We have designed different types of experiences, for the classic winelovers, for the outdoor enthusiasts and for the youngest, too.

What is important to us, is that our guests feel at ease and spontaneous, and that they can bring back home an unforgettable experience.
