La Spinosa’s organic wines

A GOOD TASTE THAT RESPECTS THE LAND AND ITS TRADITIONS

Our wines are mainly produced with indigenous grape varieties (Sangiovese, Canaiolo; Colorino, Foglia Tonda, Malvasia Nera, Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia Lunga del Chianti) along with smaller percentages of other cultivars (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay).

In the ancient vineyard known as “a Chioppi”, planted out more than seventy years ago, we are also selecting and multiplying some varieties and clones of grapes that are almost extinguished by now. The names of some of our wines originate from the names of these peculiar grape varieties.
